The Indian was a monthly journal founded by R. S. Nehra and published from London and Wembley. It was published from October 1934 to February 1937 (not published between August and November 1936).

  • The February 1935 issue is numbered Vol. 1, No. 5. The March 1935 issue is numbered Vol. 2, No. 3.
  • The April/May 1935 issue is numbered Vol. 2, No. 4. The June 1935 issue is numbered Vol. 2, No. 5. The July 1935 issue is numbered Vol. 2, No. 7. Vol. 2, No. 6 does not exist.

The subtitle of the Indian varied, including An Illustrated Monthly Journal Devoted to the Political, Social, Economic and Religious Interests of Indians All Over the World; An Illustrated Monthly Journal; and The Illustrated Indian and the Oriental World of Commerce & Trade – Policies & Politics, Religion & Society.
