Mookerjee’s Magazine

(1861 & 1872-1876, Calcutta)

Mookerjee’s Magazine was edited by Sambhu Chandra Mookerjee and published by various publishers in Calcutta. A first, short-lived series was published in 1861 (Vol. 1, No. 1 to No. 5); a second series was published from 1872 to 1876.

The Ideas of India database covers Vol. 1 (1861) of the first series, and Vol. 1 to Vol. 5, No. 36-40 (1872-1876) of the second series of Mookerjee’s Magazine.

The new series carried the subtitle Of Politics, Sociology, Literature, Art, and Science, Including Chiefly History and Antiquities, Geography and Travels, Bibliography and Oriental Literature, Jurisprudence and Commerce, &c.
